Women's History Month Plays at Jersey City Theatre Center: I Don't Know How She Does It by Nancy Mendez-Booth
@ JCTC at Merseles Studios
Wednesday, March 13, 2019 7:30pm

A Concert Theatre reading of a New Play from Writers Theatre's New Jersey Women Playwrights Program, presented in
association with The Jersey City Theatre Center and Speranza Theatre Company as part of Women's History Month.
How does one Puerto Rican woman rise from public housing to become a Pulitzer Prize winner, despite an apathetic Virgin
Mary, tragic loss, and a fecal downpour of biblical proportions? This one-person show cycles through nine moments in this
Boricua’s life to explore how imagination and humor helped her survive and achieve despite struggles, and the haters and
non-believers—including herself. Performed by the author, who is a Jersey City resident.
